She never thought that she would live a life where people would judge and laugh at her, let alone her own family. Thinking she would trust him with her nude images, she never thought that this young man would use the images against her. In the Fiji Sun’s Saturday edition, one of the victims who was only 16 at the time, was involved with a young man she thought was her soul partner. It raises many questions on why these young women acted in such a way? To whom did they send the images to?
The revelation of these nude photos paint a negative picture in our Fijian society and questions our ability as parents and guardians. But how they are using it is something they need to find out. Or maybe some are too busy to spend time with their children.Ĭhildren these days are now given the luxury of having their own mobile phones, tablets, and modern gadgets that parents have entrusted them with. Arguably both parents are out there working, earning a decent living for their children and have not had the time to check on their children. It all goes back to the parents, not only for these young women, but for all women. What is happening to our society? Clearly something is seriously wrong. Later on images of young primary school Fijian girls were also spotted. Last week this newspaper revealed the exposure of 900 nude images of unsuspecting young Fijian women. Females, as young as primary school students, have been spotted in the recent so-called Dropbox of online storage folders, which are circulating among tertiary students in Fiji.
